Move over Jingle Ball, Not So Silent Night has hit the East Coast! Alt fans poured into the Barclay Center last night to see a STACKED line up featuring AJR, Chvrches, Bastille, Mike Shinoda, Foster The People, Death Cab For Cutie, Florence + the Machine, and MUSE! The incredible evening felt like the warped tour set of my dreams, minus all the heat stroke and kids in mosh shorts.

AJR opened up the night, brining an insane amount of energy to such a daunting room. The three brothers showed us some insight in to how the magic happens when it comes to making the beat for Burn The House Down. Another personal favorite of the evening was the one and only Mike Shinoda, bringing life back to the late Chester Bennington with In The End and Good Goodbye/Bleed it out. Shinoda joined the crowd for the last song and made sure high fives were given all around.

The standout artist of the evening for me was hands down Florence + the Machine. I’m not saying I cried during her set, but I’m not saying I didn’t cry during her set either. During the incredibly quick set change overs I chatted with a few super fans at the barricade who told me they had been waiting since 4am the night before just for Florence! Florence and her band took the stage and for the first 30 seconds I was in complete awe, I’ve never seen an artist with some raw talent and elegance. To top off a perfect set, Florence poked fun at a man starring at his phone next to me during her set and that little jab just lit a fire under everyones seat.

As the arena poured out around midnight you could hear the murmurs of excitement for what could possibly be in store for next year, radio.com you’ve got a tough one to top!
