Matt DeLuca

Matt is the Sports Director at WMCX, and is a junior communication major with a focus in radio and television, and a sports communication minor. A Lumberton, NJ native, Matt is entering his seventh year of broadcasting, dating back to his freshman year of high school. He has broadcasted games including state titles, tournament of champions titles, the MAAC tournament, and the NIT. The “Swiss Army Knife” of broadcasting, he has experience calling football, basketball, baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer, and hopes to add to that list in the coming years. His favorite broadcasting moment came during his freshman season, calling the Monmouth-Iona battle at the MAC, which was the highest-attended game in the venue’s history.

Paul Matt

Paul is the General Manager at WMCX, and is a senior communication major with a focus in radio and television. Entering his second year of broadcasting, he loves music, sports, and talking on the air. His favorite movies include White Chicks, Space Balls, and Scary Movie 3, and his favorite artists include Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and 2pac. The Middlesex, NJ native’s favorite broadcasting moment was the men’s basketball senior night against Siena last season.

Mike Levy

Mike is a senior finance major, entering his fourth year of broadcasting for the X. He is from Brooklyn, NY, and is a big fan of Star Wars and Billy Joel, and a die-hard fan of the Jets and Mets. His favorite game he broadcasted came last season, when he traveled down to South Carolina. He said, “Although it was a tough loss, it was extremely memorable.”

Bryce Petraccoro

Bryce Petraccoro

Bryce, or King Bryce, is a radio and television communication major with a minor in sports communication. She is from Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, and began her broadcasting career this past year. Her favorite sport is basketball, but she’s a bowler at heart. She is a three-time state champion and four-time All-American. Her favorite WMCX broadcasting moment came during last year’s Buffalo road trip, calling games against Niagara and Canisius with former Sports Director Mike Trapasso.

Glen DeNigris

Glen is a junior radio/TV major with a minor in sports communication, who started broadcasting for WMCX this past year. A die-hard New York sports fan from Paramus, NJ, Glen especially loves his New York Yankees. His favorite moment from this past season was traveling to Albany and calling Justin Robinson’s career-high 40-point effort in Monmouth's 102-82 victory over Siena in February.

Alexa is a senior communication major with a focus in radio/TV, and a minor in marketing. The native of Jackson, NJ, enters her second year on the team, holding a passion for broadcasting. Her favorite broadcast came in December, as she was part of the first all-female broadcast, with her friend Bryce.

Werlhens is a sophomore communication major with a focus in radio and TV. From New York, NY, Werhlens will be entering his second year as part of the X, and first as a broadcaster. His favorite sports include basketball and football, and his favorite time of the year is the fall, when “all of the good sports start”.

Stephen Holmes

Stephen Holmes

Steve is a sophomore communication major with a focus in radio and television. The Jefferson, NJ native is entering his second year of broadcasting for WMCX. His favorite sport is basketball, and his favorite game was his collegiate broadcasting debut, Monmouth-FDU on December 10th.
